I have several friends who have babies who are outgrowing their infant clothes and have offered them to me. It seems like it would be ashame for them to have to go buy something new for me when they already have gently used stuff themselves.

Would it be tacky to question the person who is throwing me shower to place something like:

Registered at Babies R US and Wal-Mart.
Gently used hand-me-downs welcome.

      I’m doing a project at my school for my Parenting class and I need to figure out the cost of an infant for the first three months. Here’s the info that I need:
      -Food(formula)
      -Diapers(60/wk) or diaper service
      -Clothing
      -Furniture and equipment(crib, changing table, etc)
      -Doctor’s office visits(minimum 2) and medical care
      -Misc.
      -Babysitter or daycare(optional)

      Not exactly sure what the misc is, but you get the thought. Please help!

                I was wondering how does donating clothes/items to the Goodwill or Salvation Army work pertaining to taxes? I dropped off a garbage bag full of my son’s ancient infant clothes at the Goodwill. The guy that took the bag gave me a receipt with a date and a scribbled signature. I wrote down everything that was in the bag but I have no clue what the value of the items would be. Thanks

                  My niece was born this past Monday and was diagnosed with having been born with a dislocated hip. She will have to be in a leg brace for a couple of months. Does anyone know if there is a place that sells specialized clothes for infants that will not be able to wear regular baby clothes? I would be very grateful for any help that anyone can give.
